Once in Málaga, we will drive crossing the main streets of the city: The Park of Málaga with its four most representative buildings, the Aduana or Customer- Office -Building , the old Post Office Building, the Spanish National Bank Building and the City-Hall Building ; then the General Torrijos-Square, the “ Farola”-front, further the ”Morro” area, where we will talk about our city with a wonderful view over the Gibralfaro-hill , the Cathedral and the Alcazaba-fortress , time for pictures and then we continue along the “City of Melilla” beach-front, with view over the known “Malagueta” beach, later on we continue along the Pablo Ruiz Picasso beach-front, the Miramar Palace and up the hill by the Camino Nuevo(new road) towards the Gibralfaro Castle ( the foregoing visit was a sightseeing coach tour ), and here we will visit the monumental area of the castle with its new Interpretation-Center “Castle of Gibralfaro”.
After a panoramic view over all the old and monumental quarter of the city , we go back to the Bus and drive the road down passing in front of the Sanctuary of the “Virgen de la Victoria”( The Madonna of the Victory) and the Monkeys-Square towards the Square of the Mercy (Plaza de la Merced), where we will start our walking tour through the Alcazabilla Street towards The Alcazaba. Then we will visit this Palace of the XI Century built by King Badis, who served as inspiration for the builders of the Alhambra, the most important arabian monument in the whole world. We will visits its gardens , its courts(patios), the doors and walls of its triple enceinte,and the private rooms of the King, considered as the masterpieces of this Alcazaba.
Once we finish our visit, and depending of the time left, we can give free time in Larios Street, the main Street of Málaga, or we can also visit one of the family-run Bodegas (Wine Cellar) at approx. 10 minutes from the city center.Here we will have an explanation about Wines, and also a free wine taste.
