The Cueva of Nerja (Cave of Nerja) is located at 60 kms from Málaga, to the east of the city. The visit use to take about 45 minutes.
Inside the Cave we can find humain rests from 25.000 Years before Chist, such as a burin of 3.000 years before Christ, the ceramics and vessels.
It is divided into 5 rooms, and in one of each, the biggest one, called the Cataclysme room, we can see a column, considered in the Guiness-records-book as the largest in world.
Located at about 20 minutes from Nerja, part of the 31 municipalities of the Axarquía region(arab word who means “to the east” ).
The most attractive of this white andalusian town is the fact that the streets, houses and the system of sewers are still the same as during the XVI Century.
Even the Sugar-Cane-honey- factory is conserved as in the XVI Century.
In order to appreciate the architecture of this place, we will walk along its small streets ,explaining how the inhabitants do get their revenues from: the cane-honey, the sweet wine, the raisins, the dry fruits, the ceramics, the painted glass, the carpets…
